In the Beginning
My fascination with computers came at a very young age when I was introduced to the Commodore VIC-20. I began programming in BASIC developing very rudimentary games, such as a baseball game built around the randomization of numbers (much like rolling a dice where certain numbers meant single, double, HR, out, etc.). Then I eventually upgraded to the Commodore 64; providing me with the ability to incorporate graphics into the programs using Sprite's. I enjoyed both playing and programming video games on my computer.
As I entered college, I focused on developing programs that were business centric; I frequently designed inventory (database) systems for numerous local businesses. At this time I also started to enjoy the challenge of solving business problems with computers; whether it was developing systems, or just automating calculations with a spreadsheet ( LOTUS 1-2-3 at the time).
So naturally, I decided to major in Computer Science as an undergraduate to further develop my skills in programming. As time went by, I not only enjoyed solving problems (writing algorithms) with computers, I also started to learn more about business applications.
As my career progresses, I continue to develop both my technical and business skills and really enjoy learning. In addition, I enjoy sharing what I learned with others and the development of people.
Sincerely,
