 Experience
I have been fortunate to have worked in some great companies and experience the pros and cons in working in large multi-national environments as well as smaller private environments including startups. I have been very fortunate to have gained tremendous experience from all of the places I have worked; this includes working with some great people and on some very fascinating projects.
As an undergraduate in Hofstra University, I worked as a summer intern at Doubleday. My first real professional job was at Loews Corp. soon after graduating from Hofstra. After a year at Loews I went to AT&T where I spent the next 5 years learning from some of the best and brightest in software engineering. Not only did I receive invaluable real world experience, I also received a tremendous amount of formal training. In late 1999/2000 I left AT&T to start my own company called myRebates.com, a valuable lesson in combining my business and technology skills as well as learning what it takes to be an entrepreneur. In late 2000, I joined Monster Worldwide (know as TMP at the time) and spent close to six years at Monster holding various roles within the organization. In 2006 I went to TMP as part of a divestiture from Monster and I currently maintain my SVP & CIO role at today.
My career is something I work at, tying my formal education with experience and constantly looking for opportunities to improve and learn (on the job). I am a firm believer in proactively seeking out areas within the company where learning can take place. My ideal position allows me to make decisions and holds me accountable for results. My high energy, commitment and ability to lead by example are the cornerstone to my professional approach.
Sincerely,
|
